During our relaxing massages, we use Comfort Zone body oils. They are 100% natural, pure essential oils, that help energise, soothe, restore and rejuvenate. The natural formulations intensify the therapeutic effect of the essential oils, as well as relaxing the body and easing the mind.There are six body oils, each a different blend of natural ingredients to help enhance the benefits of massage. We will help you choose a body oil to suit your needs and concerns to help you achieve the results you want.

 

What to expect afterwards… 

After a massage you may experience some contra-actions. These are totally normal and should last no more than 24 hours. Some of these contra-actions are: 

  • Heightened emotions – any emotions that have built up may be released, leaving a positive effect  
  • Tiredness – release of toxins from massage, require rest 
  • Muscle aches/headaches – nerves reacting to massage 
  • Increased toilet use – stimulation of lymphatic system 
  • Changed sleep patterns
  • Dizziness/light headed – due to relaxation and stimulation of massage movements

All these contra-actions are completely normal and subside within 24 hours

Aftercare

After a massage it is important to listen to any aftercare advice given, this is to help you get the most from your treatment!

Aftercare Advice:

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
  • Drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins
  • Light meals, this helps to assist with detox and healing
  • Rest if you feel tired
  • Gentle exercise, postural exercises help with muscle tension, yoga is a suitable option
  • Breathing exercises, to help ensure you are taking in plenty of oxygen
